The offspring of Saffy (Australian Champion Skyewood Perfectly Precious By Leonz) & Zorro (Irish Champion Bavaruki Excaliber)

Saffy delivered 10 very precious pups by c-section on Friday 13th November 2009.  They are not only beautiful pups, but are unique within Australia as they are the first living progeny to be born in this Country as the result of Artificial Insemination using Imported Frozen Semen.  Well done Saffy for making breed history - What a clever girl !!

This was Saffy's first litter - and our first attempt at breeding Leonbergers.   We experienced the whole gamut of highs & lows during the process & sadly could not escape the heartache & tears that often comes with breeding dogs.  One of our pups, little 'Brown Boy' was very small & despite all of our efforts to save him he passed away early the next morning.  He was only with us for a few hours but was very much loved. 

Another small pup,  'Purple Boy' named Rocky was put to sleep on 26th March 2010 aged 4 months.  We were devastated at having to say goodbye to our special little man. He was an incredible little Leo, a true fighter & his loss has left a huge hole in our hearts.  We loved him dearly & miss him terribly.  Although Rocky was with us for such a short time he provided us with a lifetime of love & joy.

The other 8 pups - 5 boys & 3 girls - are all thriving & have become very much loved & treasured members of their families.  We are VERY grateful to the owners of Saffy & Zorro's pups for providing them with wonderful, loving forever homes.
